The fourth newcomer joining ODU led his former team on the glass with 210 rebounds (7.2 rpg), was second with 24 steals, and finished third on the team with 329 points (11.3 ppg) and 25 blocks.
His 2025-26 totals included 53 points, 56 rebounds, six assists, 14 blocks, and eight steals. He averaged 2.1 points and 2.2 rebounds while playing 10.6 minutes per game and shot 55.6% from the floor.
Ben Tanton Earns NCBWA Second Team All-American Honors
The 2026 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Freshman All-American Teams were announced on Monday and ODU’s Ben Tanton was named to the Second Team.
Through his first three seasons, Benjamin has netted 681 points (8.11 ppg) on 42.6% shooting from the field, including 32.6% from beyond the arc, and 76.7% at the free-throw line.
Lauren Gunning Named Old Dominion Women's Lacrosse Head Coach
Gunning comes to ODU from USC, where she was the associate head coach for the previous five seasons. She helped lead the Trojans to a pair of NCAA Tournaments and a Pac-12 Championship in 2023.
ODU Women's Basketball Announces Asia Williams As Assistant Coach
Williams will serve as an assistant coach. She is joining the Monarchs after previously serving as an assistant coach and recruiting director of Norfolk State last season.
